A garden room is only as good as the ground it sits on. Proper site preparation is essential for a successful installation.
Foundations & Bases
Purchaser Responsibility: Unless otherwise agreed, it is your responsibility to provide an adequate and suitable base for the building.
Foundation Plans: For bespoke builds, we will provide a Foundation Plan within 4 weeks of order confirmation to show exactly where the structure needs support.
Recall Fee: If the base is not ready or is unsuitable when our installers arrive, a £499 recall charge will be applied. Alternatively, we may charge for the time and materials required to make the base suitable.
Utilities & Planning
Services: You must provide adequate water and electricity for our team to carry out the works.
Permissions: It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to obtain all necessary Planning Permission or Building Regulation approvals. While we can offer advice, the legal responsibility remains with you.
Waste: While we usually remove waste and packaging, there are instances where this isn’t possible. In these cases, final disposal is the responsibility of the Purchaser.
Note on Ridge Heights: Please remember that stated ridge heights refer to the building itself and may not include the height of the base-work or roof coverings. Keep this in mind for planning compliance!
