At Johnsons, we strive for perfection, but we know that occasionally things don’t go strictly to plan. We are committed to resolving issues quickly and fairly.
At the Point of Completion
The best time to flag an issue is during the final handover.
Joint Inspection: Once the “Works” are finished, you must immediately inspect the building with our team.
Snagging: If you identify any areas that do not meet the contract standard, we will document these and remedy them within a reasonable timeframe.
Completion Certificate: Once any faults are rectified (or if none are found), you will be asked to sign a Completion Certificate.
Post-Installation Issues
24-Hour Window: If you were not available to inspect the works at the time of completion, you must contact us within 24 hours to notify us of any faults. Beyond this window, the works are deemed completed.
Warranty Claims: If a defect arises later that you believe is a breach of warranty, you must notify us in writing within 30 days of becoming aware of the issue. This allows us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and repair the defect.
