We currently have 14 display villages, all situated in busy garden centres across Kent, Surrey, Essex, London and Hampshire exhibiting our vast range of our popular garden buildings. We specialise in offering our customers the perfect space solution, whether it’s for a home office, family chill out room, gym or even the more traditional summerhouse.

POSITION: Sales Executive

LOCATION: Ashford, Kent

What we are looking for:

We require a confident, energetic, and positive Sales Executive to assist our Branch Sales Manager at our display showroom in Ashford, Kent.

Working within a small sales team, you would be expected to optimise your branch’s sales leads, offering customers an unrivalled product and customer service.

You must be proactive, results driven and due to the branch being open seven days a week, be flexible regarding working Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays.

Experience in the Home Improvement Industry (or similar) would be ideal but not essential.

 

What we can offer you:

  • £9 – £10 per hour depending on experience

POSITION: Sales Executive

LOCATION: Bordon, Farnham

POSITION: Accounts Assistant

LOCATION: Sarre, nr. Canterbury

Johnsons Leisure is England’s leading supplier of top-quality Garden Rooms, Hot-Tubs and other Premium Home and Leisure products. 

We are a robust customer facing company, offering longevity and career advancement prospects, and looking for an Accounts Assistant with a passion for numbers, organisation, communication & co-ordination to join our experienced team. 

There are two roles, one will be focusing on the sales ledger, the other will be focused on the purchase ledger.  The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience within a similar role, with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. You must have strong IT skills with a confident approach to your duties and whilst undertaking a multitude of tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Sales Ledger – Undertake daily/weekly processing of sales information, reconciliation of the sales ledgers, invoicing, reporting.
  • Purchase Ledger – Matching invoices with delivery notes and purchase orders, processing of purchase information, reporting.
  • Banking – Credit card, cash and other reconciliations.
  • Demonstrate accurate input, investigate and resolve reconciliation and matching issues in a timely manner, escalating internally where required.
  • Seek to identify process improvements and implement.
  • To undertake varied and general administrative tasks as required, ensuring that they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed to ensure the smooth running of the office and to support the growth and success of the business.

 

Key Skills and experience:

  • Sage experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excel proficient essential.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Committed team player
  • Trustworthy, diligent, self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.

 

The Package:

 

  • Full Time, Mon-Fri, 08.30 – 17:00
  • £19,500 – £22,000 dependant on experience.
  • 28 days holiday per annum (incl bank holidays).
  • Company pension scheme.
  • You will be based at our fantastic new Head Offices in Sarre, Kent, and due to our location, a full UK driving licence is desirable with access to your own vehicle.

POSITION: Yard Operative

LOCATION: Challock, Kent

We are a robust customer facing company, offering longevity and career advancement prospects and we are looking for a Yard Operative to work at our site in Challock, Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate and you must be hardworking, honest and trustworthy. You will take pride in your ability to be organised and self-motivated, being able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • All elements of yard stock control.
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties within the yard including stock rotation, cleanliness, tidiness and compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles and trailers.
  • Prioritise work to complete it in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Yard & Logistics Manager.

 

Skills

  • Forklift licence is essential.
  • Previous yard experience is essential.
  • Construction background would be preferable.
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre large objects.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and positive.

The Package

  • Full time – 10am to 7pm – Monday to Friday.
  • Salary – £9 per hour.

POSITION: Satellite Quality Control Officer

LOCATION: South-East

Johnsons Garden Buildings is the largest installer of Garden Rooms in England. and we are looking for a Satellite Quality Control Officer in our installations department.

If you have an eye for detail, enjoy the freedom of the open road, would like to assist in driving high standards and enjoy feeling a sense of achievement, this job could be for you.

You will be responsible for reporting and checking that our Garden Building department installations are up to high standards, providing accurate compliance reports to support the Training & Installation Manager and assisting in supporting subsequent training and relative administration.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible directly to the Training and Installations manager.
  • Diary and time management administration.
  • Regular satellite visitations of installations for quality control and compliance purposes.
  • Communicating with customers and staff for site visitation and mediation.
  • General administration and reporting of the activities of the role.
  • Photographing, documenting and presenting findings.
  • Reporting and advisement of quality control visits to management.
  • Analysis and identification of areas for improvement.

 

Skills

  • Some health and safety compliance training / relevant qualifications.
  • Quality Control or Compliance experience of some degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good general administration, I.T and MS office knowledge preferred.
  • General or training specific administration or deployment experience beneficial.
  • Must be self-motivated and positive, with the ability to work autonomously as well part of a team.
  • Responsible and professional.

POSITION: Warehouse Operative

LOCATION: Sarre nr. Canterbury

We are a robust customer facing company, offering longevity and career advancement prospects and we are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work at our head offices in Sarre, Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate and you must have previous warehouse experience, be honest and trustworthy. You will take pride in your ability to be organised and self-motivated, being able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

A forklift licence is essential to this role, please do not apply if you do not have one.

 

Responsibilities:

  • All elements of Warehouse Stock control.
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties within the warehouse including stock rotation, cleanliness, tidiness and compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Carry out checks on all incoming stock and outgoing orders while adhering to stock management guidelines to ensure accuracy.
  • Carry out daily checks on the forklift truck and other mechanical equipment and report all defects to the Depot Manager.
  • Loading and unloading.
  • Prioritise work to complete it in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

 

Skills

  • Experience in stock control is desirable.
  • 2 plus years experience in a warehouse environment is preferable.

Working within a small sales team, you would be expected to optimise your branch’s sales leads, offering customers an unrivalled product and customer
service.

You must be proactive, and results driven and due to the branches being open seven days a week, be flexible regarding working Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays.

Experience in the Home Improvement Industry (or similar) would be ideal but not essential.

 

What we can offer you:

  • £22,620k salary with an OTE of £30k (uncapped commission)
