We currently have 14 display villages, all situated in busy garden centres across Kent, Surrey, Essex, London and Hampshire exhibiting our vast range of our popular garden buildings. POSITION: Assistant Sales Manager

LOCATION: Chestfield nr. Whitstable

Johnsons Garden Buildings are the South East’s largest independent retailer and installer of top-quality Garden rooms and hot tubs with display villages across Kent, Essex, Hampshire & London.

We specialise in offering our customers the perfect space solution, whether it’s for a home office, family chill out room, home gym or even the more traditional summerhouse.

We also offer a fantastic choice of designer hot tubs from around the world, all available with competitive finance packages.

 

The Role:

Based at our display showrooms at Johnsons Garden Centre, Chestfield, 2 miles from Whitstable and 6 miles from the city of Canterbury, your day to day responsibilities will be assisting the Branch Sales Manager to achieve branch sales targets whilst ensuring the highest standards of customer service are delivered.

This will include identifying and following up all sales opportunities, actively managing sales leads and reporting on all outcomes. This would be from the initial qualification of a customer’s requirements through to the provision of an estimate, arranging a home site visit for the Branch Manager and following up until completion.

 

Key Skills:

  • Sales experience is essential but full product training is given
  • Highly self-motivating individual who thrives on delivering the best customer service while achieving their set goals
  • Ability to work on your own initiative to achieve sales targets
  • Confident manner and ideally some experience in selling face to face.
  • Excellent time management
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office

 

The Package:

  • £18,720 per annum plus uncapped commission O.T.E. £27,000

POSITION: Sales Assistant

LOCATION: Warlingham, Surrey

The Role:

POSITION: Garden Room Installers

LOCATION: Wickford, Essex

Johnson’s Leisure are the UK’s leading supplier of top-quality garden buildings, we have recently opened a brand new, industry leading, retail and distribution centre in Wickford. Due to this expansion will offer exciting employment opportunities for the right candidates to join our installation teams and become integral to the continued growth of our brand.

Successful applicants will be working as part of a team to install our garden buildings to customers across the Home Counties.

Full training will be given as the role will involve a varied range of construction techniques, from groundwork through to the finishing touches which make our buildings suitable for a multitude of purposes and concepts.

Johnson’s offer great rates of pay with an attractive bonus, fast track and pension schemes.

The vacancies are full-time, permanent positions with the full range of benefits you would expect from a market leader. Furthermore, Johnson’s offer a comprehensive programme of progression and advancement with many of our management team having been recruited internally from ‘shop-floor’ positions.

We are looking to recruit fitters to join our already operational team of fitters based in Wickford. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding family-based business.

 

Key Requirements

  • Groundwork and / or carpentry experience an advantage but not essential
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Pride in your quality and finish of work
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Full driving license essential, as is your own vehicle for your home to work commute
  • BE Towing Licence is preferred but training can be given

 

The Package

  • Full Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday
  • Uniform and correct PPE supplied
  • All necessary tools and equipment provided
  • Full induction programme provided
  • 28 days paid holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

  • Salary from £23,000 to £38,000 per annum subject to experience and bonuses

POSITION: Training Coordinator

LOCATION: Multiple

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Training Coordinator to join our exciting and innovative company and be part of our ongoing growth.

Johnsons Leisure Limited is a highly successful and rapidly expanding company. We are a family run business and the largest independent installer of top-quality garden rooms and hot tubs. We have numerous display villages across Kent, Essex, Surrey, Hampshire and London. With over 160 staff, and a diverse cross section of business needs we are proud to have a varied and extremely talented, multi-faceted employee family.

The training coordinator has the responsibility for delivering our in-house training programme to new and existing Sales staff to ensure moral is kept at a high and our staff continue to grow within their roles.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be required to deliver “hands on” training to our Hot Tubs & Garden Buildings staff.
  • Travel to sites to train new and existing staff in all “Johnson’s” sales procedures and processes.
  • Motivate current staff using consistent coaching.
  • Instil positive mindset using training days.
  • Identify areas of training needed within the sales team and action it.
  • Report to the Training manager and feedback training schedules and movements.
  • Attend monthly sales meetings to build and develop relationships within the Sales team.

 

Person Specification

  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Training experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
  • Previously produces training material in a creative manner
  • Sales experience is a must.
  • You will demonstrate motivation, positivity and be sincere in your approach
  • Have the ability to build relationships with individuals from all walks of life.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to have a degree of flexibility in regards to working hours and the role, as you will be expected to travel to all Johnsons showroom sites.

 

The Package

  • Basic salary of £21,000 – £24,000, DOE.
  • Bonus structure to be put in place.
  • Pension after 3 months of employment
  • Annual holiday entitlement of 28 days (Inc bank holidays)
  • Mobile phone and laptop to be supplied
  • Fuel for work travel paid
  • Full training and ongoing support

 

You will be required to work over a 7-day period, covering 5 days to suit the Staff training requirements and working hours will be between 8am – 5pm.

POSITION: Branch Manager

LOCATION: Chelsham, Surrey

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced branch manager to oversee our log cabin display village in Chelsham.

Johnsons Garden Buildings are the UK’s leading supplier of superior garden rooms along with a fantastic range of Hot Tubs, swim spas and accessories and require a top-quality individual with energy and enthusiasm to fill this very important role to continue to drive the village forward.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for ensuring Sales targets are met by both yourself and the sales Executive, delivering the highest standards of customer service, identifying and following up sales leads and reporting on all outcomes, this would range from the initial qualification of a customer’s requirements through to the provision of an estimate and follow up of a home site visit to ensure that the installation process is a smooth one.

 

The successful candidate will have the following skills to undertake this position.

  • Previous experience within a leadership role
  • Sales experience and the ability to achieve and succeed given targets
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to ensure that the customer has the best possible experience.
  • Confident manner in selling and building up relationships with the general public
  • Excellent time management
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook, due to the process and procedures in place.
  • Full driving licence and own car required.

 

  • We are offering a starting salary of £25,000 per annum, plus £2k regional waiting and uncapped commission, OTE £35,000
  • Permanent position offering full time hours.
  • Company vehicle supplied, after successful completion of a probationary period.
  • Comprehensive induction and full product training given.
